They'll always spend more, just in case.<br /><br />We don't really need to send aid money anywhere. By all means send people to help for a specific situation, such as the hospital ship for Ebola or the Fire Brigade to dig people out from an earthquake. Send the Army in to rebuild the roads and services after a hurricane. We have specialist services and these cost money to train and deploy - that can be our contribution.<br /><br />If the stricken Government just demands cash, let them whistle. I don't care how much better it makes the Bleeding Hearts feel when they promise money from my (extortionate) taxes. Passing ludicrous laws to allow Mr Cameron to pose as some sort of saint by wasting my money is basically offensive.Mick Andersonnoreply@blogger.com
