They should have some kind arrangement whereby they'll work with the council, who will provide the strategic view and tools etc, and receive funding and voluntary donations.

I am part of such a group at a local beauty spot, and I am strongly supportive of such endeavours, which are supported by the council but reliant on the effort of people, of whom there are surely more than enough in the locality.

The floods have only reinforced my environmental views, and I do accuse the government of not responding to them well, by rushing to dredge the rivers rather than plant trees, reduce/abolish subsidies for environmentally wateful things like maize growing, etc.

I often disagree with the Natalie Bennetts of this world and other "greens", naturally you will too. But the fact that people do environmentalism wrong doesn't mean it shouldn't be done, it means it should be done properly, a lot of flood victims and people in other lands who've got floods, droughts, rising sea levels and all sorts can tel you that.

Conservative-minded readers are directed here:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/books/bookreviews/9014330/Green-Philosophy-by-Roger-Scruton-review.html

The importance of loving one's own local environment, and doing things for it in the manner that I hope these Italians will do, is repeatedly stressed.asquithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14246701347539264295noreply@blogger.com
