Cullingworth nestles in Yorkshire's wonderful South Pennines where I once was the local councillor. These are my views - on politics, food, beer and the stupidity of those who want to tell me what to think or do. And a little on mushrooms.

Quote of the day...

Indeed, the cancer risk of ETS to a non-smoker appears to be roughly equal to the risk of becoming addicted to heroin from eating poppy seed bagels.
If that be the case, then there's really no reason to ban smokers from having their own smoking rooms, which is the least consideration that could be made, at lease that much. Any other risk is then their own, so it should serve no further problem to the non-smoking public, or so it would seem and businesses harmed by unnecessary bans could go back to earning a profit again as could workers become more productive again after stepping off into their little smoking room on the side to have a little puff, as do others when they take their coffee breaks in special rooms set aside just for that.
