Cullingworth nestles in Yorkshire's wonderful South Pennines where I once was the local councillor. These are my views - on politics, food, beer and the stupidity of those who want to tell me what to think or do. And a little on mushrooms.

On the matter of lunatic statistical projections....
It would take 1.4 million years to clear the backlog of northern families waiting for social housing if the housing market does not improve, the National Housing Federation has said.

To be fair and honest, they do say that 1.4 million years is 3 times longer than a decade ago, which translates into 1.4M/3 = 466,666 years wait time back in 2001, under Labour.
It must have been a mindless Labourite who wrote the article and mindlessly put in the figures, knowing that the 466,666 year wait time back under Labour would make them sound so much better and increase their electability next time around.
